Chairman's Address
I stand before you humbled by the trust reposed in me to serve you
as the Kwara State Chairman of this great Trade Union Congress. I
stand before you, dear comrades, with a vow that I will not
disappoint this huge trust. I stand before you, great comrades, to
tell you that with your invaluable support and cooperation and our
zeal and valor and commitment, we are taking this Congress to
greater heights. I stand before you, gallant comrades, affirming
you as my leaders and I your humble servant. Speak and I shall
hear. Order and I shall obey! Ask and I shall answer! Dear
comrades, seek and I shall grant. From this moment forward, it is
going to be work and work and work. I will not be tired to serve
in all capacities. At this juncture, ladies and gentlemen,
comrades, it important to appreciate the State Government under
the leadership of our go-getter governor, Mallam Abdulrahman
Abdulrasak for providing the best needed business environment for
us to thrive. Our loyalty is strong and healthy. I would like to
express my sincere gratitude to the National Leadership of the
Trade Union Congress for their support and dedication to the
course of the Union. We will work with them to achieve greatness
together. In particular, I thank the National President of the
Road Transport Employers' Association of Nigeria, who is also the
National Treasurer of the Trade Union Congress. In person of Com.
Dr. Ambassador Musa Muhammed Maitakobi It is very important for me
to acknowledge the support of my State Executive Council and all
RTEAN members in Kwara State. Thank you so much. The role played
by the Management and Staff of Michael Imode Institute of Labour
Studies to the success of the Congress is never unnoticed. The
support has become so habitual that TUC cannot do without the
Institute. The Institute itself seems to have seen the TUC Kwara
as a personal project that must be supported anytime. We thank you
for your usual support and God bless you. The caretaker committee,
the TUC stakeholders and immediate past State Excos did a
tremendous job and deserves our commendations. On behalf of the
members and the new Executive Council, I congratulate the
immediate past Exco for the successful and smooth transition. Your
achievements speak louder and we will build on them.
