History
The Kwara State chapter of the Road Transport Employers’
Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) is an amalgamation of five
different transport services in 1978. Since then, the Association
has gown bigger and better with a staff base of not less than
500,000 and strong customer base across all strata of the society.
The RTEAN Kwara has its State Headquaters strategically opposite
the Ilorin International Airport. The State Secretariat, a very
beautiful edifice was conceptualized and initiated by the Alhaji
Salman Ayoku. It was completed by the Alhaji Abdulrahman Olayinka
Onikijipa.
The RTEAN Kwara is a friendly and customer-first Association. The
members across all chapels are trained regularly to understand the
rudiments of driving and customer relations.
In addition, RTEAN Kwara maintains a very cordial relationship
with the State Government. This has further portrayed the
Association in good light.
Since inception, the following personalities have headed the RTEAN
Kwara as its chairmen.
Alh. Wahab Sekoni
Alh. S O Salaudeen
Alh. Ayinde Alagbede
Alh. Salman Ayoku, the present 1st Vice National President
RTEAN/North Central Chairman.
The present Chairman is Alh. Abdulrahman Olayinka Onikijipa. He is
also the National Organizing Secretary RTEAN.
